Not making the cut
Making the Hair Transplant Investment: Don’t get Burned this Summer

Summers are a wonderful time of year. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and the winter doldrums seem like a distant memory. However, for those of us with hair loss, we know all too well that the summer means lots of hats to keep those sunburns to a minimum. For this edition of the Signature Forum Hair Restoration Newsletter, we’ll explore the possibility of getting hair transplant surgery in June, July, or August.

To prevent nasty sunburns, a little additional hair coverage could certainly come in handy. However, summer is not the season usually associated with getting hair transplant surgery. We often plan medical or aesthetic procedures for the winter so we can save our summers for fun trips—even though there are a number of reasons to get hair transplants in the summer. Summer hair transplant surgeries can save you from the burn, while also saving you more money than any other time of the year.

Hair Transplant Surgery Savings

If you’re looking to save on hair restoration, the summer is the best time to do it. This is because hair transplants are not a typical summer surgery, causing hair transplant surgeons to offer a number of price incentives. Hair restoration centers generally charge cheaper prices on a per graph basis. For example, instead of paying $5 per graft, you could be charged $4 per graft. Now a dollar might not seem like much of a deal, but after 2500 hair grafts, you’re looking at $2500 in savings.

Summer Vacation Surgery

This is one of the sneaky ways patients undergo hair transplant surgery without being detected. The time you spend away from work for summer vacation can be a great cover for getting hair restoration. Regardless of whether you’re male or female, the goal of hair transplant is to get natural hair, and hair transplant surgery does require 3-7 days for the area to heal back to its normal state before growing in. Even though it takes more than 2 weeks for follicular unit hair transplants to grow and thicken, it’s enough time to make the change a little less drastic and more believable.

Thanks for Reading

Getting a hair transplant now is a good excuse to throw out that old hat and feel that summer breeze. You don’t have to act today, but keep in mind that these summer savings are temporary. The key is to research your hair growth options and make a decision that you’re comfortable with.
