Minoxidil
A medication that had been previously used to lower blood pressure. After it was discoverd that hair growth was one of its side effects, Minoxidil was made available in a liquid form to treat androgenic alopecia, or hair loss. This topical hair loss treatment is marketed as Rogaine™.
